Little Cabin in the Woods

Doug was a wonderful host! The place was perfect for our short day. Enjoyed chatting with him about the area and will most definitely return.

Doug was an absolutely wonderful host. The cabin was so cute and functionable for a taste of camping without the tent. The location was superb as it was right in the middle of all of the sight-seeing and adventures we went on. We had a couple of bear visitors that starttled us in rhe middle of the night. Doug was notified they were rummaging through the garbage (and that I was terrified) he was was there within minutes to help get them away. I highly reccomend this little slice of heaven and I hope to make it back again!

We had an excellent stay at Doug's cabin. The property is beautiful, and the cabin is really cute. Nice fire pit and warm outdoor shower. Would recommend for the Whitefish area.

Place was great. Usually camp but was bringing my mother so we compromised on this e cabin and it was a blast. Great location too. Doug was great, would highly recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable place near Glacier.

This cabin is so peaceful! We loved the outdoor shower and large deck with the fire pit. We will be looking to stay here again when we return!

If you’re looking for a secluded cabin to decompress after a long day on the trails, this is the perfect spot for you. I loved that it didn’t have WiFi personally, but if that’s not your thing, take note of that. You’re surrounded by the beautiful trees and nature yet I felt completely safe and cozy in the cabin for our stay. I’ll definitely book here again!

Lovely quaint place!

The cabin was so situated in such a gorgeous meadow of wildflowers and tall trees. Deer and birds came to visit and it was so comfortable for myself and my daughter. The outdoor shower is lovely!

Incredible place to stay if you’re looking to visit Whitefish or Glacier National Park. Only ~20/30 min from Going-to-the-sun road. Doug keeps a very clean space and his instructions were spot on. Google Maps was correct, Apple maps leads you astray he was right! Outdoor shower was awesome.

Beautiful cabin and property. We loved the proximity to town, yet the seclusion and privacy of being in the woods!

This cabin was awesome. Exactly as advertised; a great off the grid alternative option to tent camping. I actualy stayed here a night to fix my tent and sleep on a mattress. So glad I did. The solar power Jackery thing was super cool and very effective, and the outdoor shower was hot and amazing after a few days without one. My three dogs also loved the property. Lots of room to roam and sniff and explore. Would 100% stay again

Peaceful place to stay, had deer show up each evening to walk around the pond. Doug lives right around the corner and will help with anything you need.

Everything was fantastic. Doug’s place was beautiful and peaceful. There were way more helpful amenities than I expected. It looks like he had thought of just about everything. The outdoor shower was a nice touch and we thoroughly enjoyed spending time on the deck. We hope to come back!

This was a fun place! I loved the outdoor shower, and it had an awesome fire pit for s’mores. The beds weren’t super comfy but it was definitely a glorified camping spot. We loved it!!

The cabin was lovely! Great remote location with east access to whitefish and glacier. Doug was very kind and helpful. Listen to Doug’s directions as there is a logging road closure on one side of the road that gps doesn’t reflect. Cabin was clean and well stocked. He’s even I stalled a propane shower since the pictures which gets toasty warm. Wish I could have stayed longer!!!

My favorite part of my Whitefish visit was staying at the cabin! Everything was well taken care of and in good condition. I felt so peaceful and relaxed. I would love to stay here again! I highly recommend this place!

It had an AMAZING view I just wish I had more time to go hiking!

Great stay. Perfect base camp in our van with a place to shower, clean port-a-potty, and perfect porch for viewing the stars, enjoying a fire, and watching the autumn colors take center stage. We slept in our van so I can’t provide comment on the cabin for sleeping but overall the place was exactly what we wanted for our time spent around Whitefish.

We had a nice stay at Doug’s cabin. Its in a nice quiet location. The fire at night was extremely relaxing. We camp a lot and this was just as described. Camping but with a bed and shelter. We would stay again.

Doug was very kind and although it doesn't have electricity, I found it completely peaceful and relaxing to look at the stars I will having a little campfire. It was a great place to decompress.

This cabin is perfect for those just needing a quiet getaway! Great location in relation to Glacier National Park, which was where I was headed. Looking forward to booking again soon!

I loved my stay. It’s very tucked back and private. The host is amazing! I will defiantly be staying here again.

Doug's place is a cute cabin. We enjoyed the back deck and the fire pit ( well stocked fire wood) . We understand that he's just started his business and maybe he's still working on improving some details such us bed linens, towels and maybe sink but the interior is really warm at night. Doug's very helpful tho. He provided us linens upon request. Overall a nice cabin and a great host.

We loved staying at Doug’s cabin, hanging out on the deck and talking to the deer and one curious red fox that came by. Very peaceful, and he had everything we needed.

Perfect getaway in the woods!

Great stay! Quiet and secluded. Pretty well stocked. Bring a pillow case and sheet or two if you don’t have sleeping bad with you. Doug provided bear spray, which was super helpful. A bit too far for us with kids to get to Glacier everyday, but we made it work and it was a great place to wake up to every morning.

Doug’s property was beautiful and he was quick to respond when I had a question. The cabin is very remote, clean, and electricity-free so make sure you’re prepared for that. Definitely more of a glorified camping experience but it was perfect for what we wanted. Would definitely stay there again!

Clean, comfy stay to reflect on all your life decisions. Local wildlife walk about, nice breeze. BYO sleeping stuff, and enjoy the beauty of the property. Fire pit was awesome!

Fantastic off the grid cabin in the woods. Perfect little spot when visiting Glacier National Park or Whitefish, MT. Place was super clean, and private. Beautiful scenery, with a nice deck, fire pit, and grill. Would 100% visit again!

If you're looking for seclusion, this is the perfect spot. Close to the town center of Whitefish too, this spot provides a great getaway. Doug is also an excellent host. Would definitely stay here again

My friends and I had a great time and it was the perfect getaway for us while also being close to town. Doug was so kind and was amazing to communicate with! I would 100% come and stay here again!

Beautiful property. Right by a pond so a little buggy. We were able to hear the music from Under the Big Sky music festival. The listing says it sleeps 4 but the bunk beds are definitely only for 2. Make sure you come in from the north side as the GPS from the south will take you to a blocked road.

Beautiful property! It is a bit secluded, but that’s what makes it so peaceful. We even saw a few deer during our stay! The cabin was clean and beds were comfortable, but note that the cabin doesn’t have electricity so either prepare to go without or consider bringing a generator. We had some trouble with locking the door once we were in the cabin, but may have been user error there. Overall, Doug is a great host with a beautiful cabin near Whitefish, which is an amazing town to explore!
